Sustainable Procurement Policy

  1. PURPOSE
    The purpose of this Policy is to establish guidelines for supply chain processes, incorporating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria within the procurement process.
  2. SCOPE
    This Policy applies to all employees, managers, contractors, suppliers, and customers of Niaar and its subsidiaries. All individuals and entities involved are responsible for understanding and complying with this Policy at all times.

    • Management: Officers, directors, shareholders, and committee members.
    • Supply Chain: The sequence of steps in the production process, from raw material extraction to the end product’s delivery.
    • Value Chain: Activities that add or subtract value for a company and its stakeholders, from product/service design to delivery and after-sales support.
    • Code of Conduct: The guide approved by Niaar’s Board of Directors, embodying our business practices and interactions with employees, suppliers, customers, communities, and business partners.
    • Local Communities: Groups living or working in areas economically, socially, or environmentally impacted by an organization’s operations.
    • Traditional Communities: Culturally distinctive groups with unique social organizations who depend on land and natural resources for their cultural, social, and economic activities.
    • Human Rights: Inherent rights of all people, regardless of status, including the elimination of child labor, forced labor, discrimination, and ensuring decent working conditions.
    • Labor Rights: Rights governed by labor laws and regulations, including UAE Labor Law.
    • Employees: Individuals hired and registered according to labor regulations.
    • Suppliers and Contractors: Entities engaged by Niaar, including agents, consultants, distributors, service providers, and others.
    • Significant Suppliers: Suppliers whose products or services are essential for the company’s operations, impacting the economy, environment, and reputation.
    • Small and Medium-sized Suppliers: Suppliers classified as small or medium-sized enterprises by federal or credit agencies.
    • Policy: This “Sustainable Procurement Policy.”
    • Migrant Worker: A person who migrates for employment in another country.

Reporting Non-compliance:

If any behaviors or practices violate this Policy or other Niaar rules, employees (internal or outsourced) and suppliers must report the issue. Reports can be made via the company contact or at contact-us.

Our Ethics Line ensures impartiality, confidentiality, and the protection of involved parties. Non-compliance may result in corrective actions as deemed appropriate by Niaar.
